Precision Today Takes Part in Humanitarian Service Project Toy Drive

Precision Today Plumbing & Drain Cleaning recently had the wonderful opportunity to give back to our community and make a difference in the lives of young children in need of help this holiday season. We always appreciate every opportunity we have to contribute to our community, especially around this time of year when even the smallest efforts are magnified and make an even greater difference. This year, we were able to make sure that poor and underprivileged children throughout the community are able to get something they can love this holiday season by taking part in the Humanitarian Service Project’s annual toy drive!

Our crew collected the gifts from customers, friends, and family members alike, and we then had the wonderful and deeply gratifying opportunity to donate them directly to the Humanitarian Service Project. Knowing that these gifts and the tremendous generosity of those we come in contact with will make such a huge difference in the lives of children this holiday season is something we’re extremely thankful for. You can view pictures of our donation in our photo gallery!

About the Humanitarian Service Project

Based in Carol Stream, Illinois, the Humanitarian Service Project is a local charity outreach initiative designed at improving the lives of everyone throughout the Chicago suburbs. Every year during the holidays, the group encourages local businesses and even individuals to run a toy drive and collect gifts for impoverished children who often don’t receive any of their own during the season of giving. The HSP then distributes them throughout the community to children’s shelters, orphanages, and other organizations that serve the needs of young and impoverished kids. If you still wish to get involved, you can still donate new, unwrapped toys to the Humanitarian Service Project. The HSP says that gifts for children ages 8 through 15 are most needed.

The HSP also offers a number of additional ways you can give this holiday season if you’d like to get involved. Willing citizens can sponsor a family with a monetary donation, donate non-perishable food to support kids, families, and senior citizens in need, and even contribute to a book drive so that kids can enjoy the world of reading a good book. Last year, the HSP served 138 seniors and 1,849 children with more than 13,000 gifts in addition to more than 20 tons of food. These numbers have increased dramatically over the last five years, and the organization is hoping that they will do so once again this year.
